The benefit of a daily walk is an undeniable fact. As walking is considered one of the best exercises it can keep you healthy and fit for quite a long period of time. Although there are no particular rules or dress code for walking and you can do it as you wish but the fact remains that the choice of the best walking shoes can be an added benefit. However, most people does not care much about the choice of the walking shoes but the fact is that choosing the proper shoes is in fact an added benefit for your feet.



Trying out different options at different store can be a good option of choosing the best walking stores to see which ones provide you the best comfort. Always keep in mind that the pair that makes you feel natural is the best one for you.



As we all know that our feet have an automatic shock absorbing system known as pronation. This is noted in the arch of the feet as we step. Most normal people have neutral pronation system which works perfectly fine when they walk. But as a matter of fact, in some people, pronation works differently. In some people the collapse and extension of the arc is either too big or too small.



There are several benefits of a daily walk and people can even lose a lot of weight by maintaining the daily exercise. In respect of the choice of the shoes for walking there are a certain factors that should be kept in mind like they should be firmer than running shoes, should have impact cushioning, beveled heels, flexible forefoot and must have thinner mid-soles than running shoes. These are a few basics which if kept in mind while purchasing a pair of walking shoes can be of great help.



However, if you have a better idea of how our feet work then you might understand the need of the right pair of shoes for the right purpose. First of all it should be noted that our feet have a certain form of shock absorption system called pronation. This is can be noted by the systematic collapsing of the arch of the foot as we step.



Now the thing to note that our feet adjust automatically according to our needs, as for example the difference between walking, running and jogging. Now when you walk your feet have a firm grip on the ground which reduces with our increase in speed while jogging or running respectively. That is the reason why we need to choose different types of shoes for different purposes. Shoes meant for running is not a suitable option for walking.



Besides these there are also some other factors while making the choice of walking shoes which are applicable for anyone. The first and foremost thing that should always be kept in mind while making the choice is the comfort of the shoe.



In fact although most young people may not quite understand the difference of having walking shoes as their physical strength and stability allows them to ignore any mismatch but in case of older people this matters a lot, especially for people who tend to go on long walks. However, it is also quite important for people suffering from the problem of overweight as well. In fact with overweight there come certain changes in the proportionate balance of the body. Therefore, with the right choice of the shoes it is easier to support your feet.
